A product can look the same but have completely different quality. At Stiligt Design, we see quality as a whole, where both materials and craftsmanship play a crucial role. We combine exclusive materials with thoughtful design solutions to ensure that each product is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also practical, durable and tailored to your needs and budget.
We have extensive knowledge of the best European suppliers of materials and components and use the same high-quality parts as many premium brands. However, unlike big players, we can tailor every detail to your wishes, without industrial constraints. This allows us to create solutions that are not only beautiful, but also functional and sustainable.
Our in-depth knowledge of materials allows us to guide you to the best choices for your home. We know which materials work best in different environments and how they age over time. For example, we don’t recommend fabric-covered doors in kitchens because of the risk of stains and wear, while they can be excellent in a walk-in closet. Similarly, we can advise on the different properties of natural stones – Arabescato marble is a stunning stone with a unique grain, but its porous surface requires more careful handling, especially in a kitchen environment. We help you find the balance between aesthetics, functionality and long-term durability. To name a few points that are more than meets the eye.
Paint quality and surface durability
A key part of our products. We have carefully tested the market’s leading products to ensure that our paintwork resists scratches and wear. Our standard lacquer, used on our doors, is of the same high quality as that used on stairs and floors, meaning your interior will retain its appearance for many years to come.
Veneer thickness for increased durability and feel
An important aspect of our joinery. We offer both 0.7 mm and 1.5 mm thick veneers, with the thicker veneer providing a deeper texture, better durability and a more exclusive feel. We choose each veneer with care to ensure it is visually appealing and durable over time.
The essence of the gaps
Moisture resistance and strength are essential for longevity. For more exposed surfaces, such as cabinets under sinks and dishwasher doors, we use moisture-resistant MDF that protects against swelling and deformation. This makes your furniture last longer and feel robust even in daily use.
Edging and solid wood strips
This is used to reinforce and give a more luxurious finish. Our veneer and laminate doors have standard edge bands of 1.6-2 mm to withstand impact and wear. For even higher quality, we also offer 10 mm solid wood strips, giving an exclusive feel and extra durability. At the straight corners of veneer shutters, we always reinforce with solid wood to increase stability and longevity.
Concealed metal reinforcements
This is used in our designs to ensure that long shelves and spans remain stable and do not bend over time. This is a crucial detail for maintaining quality and stability in large bespoke solutions.
