House Dreams 2025: The new season is on!

In the final episode of the season, we follow Siri and Oskar, a couple from Malmö who leave city life to realize their dream in the countryside. In the village of Grönalund in Skåne, they find an old house from the 1920s, built of local brick and filled with history. With a love of recycling, nature and community, they set about an extensive renovation – with the help of friends, a lot of sweat and a clear vision.

We see how floor plan discussions, kitchen placement and smart solutions are mixed with laughter, sadness and joy. Gert Wingårdh guides them through tricky decisions, and the old merchant’s counter becomes the heart of the kitchen. Along the way, Oskar loses his job and Siri gets pregnant – life never stands still.

When the house is finally finished, it will have been transformed into a warm, vibrant home with room for future dreams. Here it will be grown, loved, baked and lived. A home built with the heart – in two senses.

In Episode 9 – Roll up your sleeves in Kverrestad, we follow David and Leonore who buy a dilapidated house in Österlen for SEK 500,000 and decide to turn it into their dream home. The journey is long and fraught with setbacks – a flawed builder, major design flaws and a doubled budget. Despite everything, they soldier on, doing a lot themselves and building a home full of love and personality. With persistence, creativity and the support of their family, they finally manage to create the life they dreamed of – and then some.

In episode 8 of *Husdrömmar* we follow Lisa and Fabian, who have fallen in love with an old merchant’s shed from 1904 in Lye, Gotland. They dream of turning it into their home, but face major challenges with low ceilings, building permit bureaucracy and a lengthy renovation process. Initial plans change several times, and after four years they have created a unique floor plan with open spaces and a modular kitchen. Despite misfortunes and a cracked budget, they are determined to complete their life project – a dream house that requires both patience and creativity.

In episode 7, we follow Trine and Magnus as they take on the renovation of a farmhouse in the middle of Lund. The building, which has been both a stable and a bakery, is transformed into a modern home with industrial elements. The road there is fraught with challenges – from difficulties with concrete trucks to failed floors and delayed deliveries. Despite disagreements over details, they find a balance between preservation and innovation. With unique design choices like an industrial glass wall and a specially treated art wall in the kitchen, they create a personal and harmonious home in the heart of the city.

In this episode of Husdrömmar, we follow Sara and Mark as they transform an old railway station in Västra Klagstorp into a home. With a budget of SEK 5.5 million and a strong desire to preserve the building’s history, they take on everything from clever floor plans to unexpected renovation challenges. When they discover a rotten roof, the entire schedule changes, but their commitment to the project only grows. With reuse and careful material choices, they create a home that breathes both past and present. Will their vision become a reality?

In episode 5 of Husdrömmar, we follow architect Solveig Fernlund, who leaves New York to create a home in Sandby, Skåne. Inspired by her free-spirited childhood, she designs a house with open spaces, a square floor plan and a floating roof structure. With a dream team of builders, the vision is realized despite challenges with the plot and building regulations. The house becomes a place of both solitude and community, where every detail reflects her personality and memories. After a long construction process, the house is completed – a harmonious balance between modern architecture and the colorful playfulness of childhood.

In Husdrömmar episode 4, season 12, we follow Pauline and Tomas who exchange their 150 sqm apartment for “Minifemman i Vasastan” – a compact five-room apartment of only 60 sqm. With smart planning and creative design, they create a functional home for their family of five. Through micro-cement floors, bespoke solutions and mirrors, they maximize space. Despite challenges, they finish in 60 days and enjoy their new, minimalist life – with more freedom to travel and experience the world.

In this episode of Husdrömmar, we follow Petra and Oliver as they take on the renovation of an old elementary school in Hömb. With carefully chosen materials, mouth-blown windows and colorful interiors, they create a dream home where history meets the present. Through smart solutions and great craftsmanship, they manage to preserve the soul of the house while adapting it for their growing family. An inspiring story of passion, patience and the joy of renovation!

In Husdrömmar episode 2 (2025), we follow Peter as he builds a 26 meter long, narrow holiday home in Ljungdalen. Inspired by shotgun houses, he creates a unique home, all on his own. With the help of his family and a strong will, he overcomes challenges and realizes his dream in the mountains.
