When we moved into our architect-designed house from 2000, we knew right away that the kitchen would need a major renovation. I’ve always had a vision of a large, social kitchen in a Nordic style, with large work surfaces and lots of light. The house is spacious and bright, but the kitchen was small, dark and worn.

I found Stiligt via Instagram and when I looked at pictures from previous projects, it felt like a perfect match. We knew from the start that we wanted a bespoke kitchen and we took quotes from other companies, but no other company gave us the same freedom and creative space as Stiligt. The process from idea to finished kitchen was a dream. I am interested in interior design myself and was very active in the design process. Steve was not only responsive to my ideas, he was also a great sounding board. His experience and knowledge helped us find the right materials and colors. He also produced rendered 3D images that were very helpful in visualizing the end result. In the pictures we could see how the light fell, how the size of the kitchen island would be perceived and how everything is connected.

In our new kitchen, we love the spacious feel and the clean, minimalist look. We went from dark and cramped to light and airy, with a stunning kitchen island that is now the hub of our social home. We have a more dynamic kitchen, with more seating and plenty of storage.
