“I travel a lot for work and often stay in hotels – but nowadays I always long for my own bedroom”

We live in a manor house built in 1900. The house was in need of renovation when we bought it, and over the years we have renovated room by room. Eventually it was time for the bedroom and we knew early on that we wanted a bespoke solution. On the one hand, bespoke is almost a prerequisite when renovating old houses, but we were also looking for something unique.

We found Stiligt online and were impressed by the photos of their previous projects. We took quotes from other major players as well, but although they often gave the impression of offering bespoke and customized solutions, we felt they were too standardized for our taste.

With Stiligt, we were able to really get what we wanted, and they were able to offer a more affordable solution. At first, the idea was to build a walk-in closet and to spruce up the bathroom adjacent to the bedroom, but together with Stiligt we created a vision of a master suite.

The process from idea to finished solution was smooth and exciting. Steve came to our home several times, and we were able to work out different solutions directly in the drawing program. Steve has an impressive attention to detail – he listened to our thoughts and ideas and was able to quickly draw up different proposals.

The result is a dreamy master suite that we love to spend time in. I travel a lot for work and often stay in hotels – but nowadays I always long for my own bedroom! We also have a lot more storage space thanks to our new walk in closet – everything feels more airy and well organized.

We have dealt with many craftsmen over the years, and we can honestly say that after working with Steve, we can’t imagine hiring anyone else.
