A luxurious walk in closet
Building walk in closets - luxurious and affordable
Is it possible to build a walk-in closet that is both luxurious and affordable? Of course, we say at Stiligt. With careful planning, conscious material choices and thoughtful lighting design, we have managed to create a walk-in closet that is both luxurious and practical, all within a cost-effective budget.
Laminate a suitable material choice
Building a well-planned and cost-effective walk-in closet requires a lot of thought and knowledge, not least when it comes to choosing materials. A walk-in closet is often built with open frames, which requires a higher finish. That’s why laminate is the way to go. Laminate is a very durable surface and, depending on the model, the cost of laminate is only a fraction of the price of veneer or lacquered surface. Here we have chosen a walnut laminate from Kronopol for both frames and doors – cost-effective and beautiful.
Lighting is essential to create a sense of luxury in a walk-in closet. With integrated LED lighting, clothes rails and open shelves are given an elegant glow. The mirror integrated in the wall panel, which also has hidden LED lighting, is also striking. This not only creates a luxurious atmosphere – the reflective material also adds a sense of movement and space to the room
Style: Modern
NCS: Kronopol walnut laminate
Hatch type: Smooth
Frames: Anthracite laminate and walnut laminate
Grip solution: Push-to-open
Special solutions: Wall panel with integrated mirror and lighting
"Lighting is key to creating a sense of luxury in a walk-in closet"
Functional and beautiful worktop
Part of the beauty and functionality of this walk-in closet comes from the design of the countertop. The Dekton Opera model from Cosentino has a straight front edge, giving it a robust and elegant look. In addition, it creates a beautiful contrast with the dark frames. Material choices such as Dekton ensure that the worktop will be just as beautiful in 20 years. The counter height of the open cabinets is also carefully planned so that the countertop can naturally meet the window frame. A detail that may seem obvious, but requires a lot of thought and planning.
Through careful planning, conscious material choices and thoughtful lighting design, we have managed to build a walk-in closet that is both luxurious and practical, all within a cost-effective budget.

Frequently asked questions
Here you’ll find answers to the most common questions about ordering a Platsbygg walk-in closet from Stiligt
The delivery time for a custom-built walk-in closet is typically 6–10 weeks.
To guarantee the best possible quality, we currently carry out installations ourselves. However, we will soon make it possible for customers to install their site buildings themselves.
Stiligt does not have its own construction tradespeople, but for projects in and around Gothenburg, we have a list of skilled tradespeople we can recommend.
We want to offer affordable, completely unique, and custom-made solutions. That’s why we don’t use middlemen, resellers, or expensive showrooms. Instead, we use 3D visualization so you can see what our solutions will look like in your home. However, we are available for scheduled appointments at our office in Gothenburg.
We carry out site visits throughout Europe. For a free quote, we ask our customers to first fill out a price request via the website, so that we can get back to you with an approximate quote. Then we can make a home visit where we measure the rooms and go through the choice of materials.
We operate primarily in Stockholm, Skåne, and Västra Götaland County. However, given the location of our factory in Poland, we are well-positioned to deliver throughout Europe. For longer distances, we have higher requirements regarding order value.
Our site-built solutions can have a variety of designs and customizations – that’s the beauty of site-built! This also means that the price can vary greatly and is affected by, among other things, the choice of material, the size of the room, the choice of cabinet fittings and any special solutions.
The down payment is due when the order is placed, no later than 6 weeks before delivery. The down payment is 50% of the cost of the woodwork (excluding installation and shipping).
Our cabinetmakers build, transport, and install. This minimizes damage to the products, and as a customer, you can rest assured that we take full responsibility every step of the way. Another advantage of handling the building, transport, and installation ourselves is that it shortens the installation time.
Under the Consumer Sales Act, you have a 3-year warranty on doors and frames. Hinges and tracks generally come with a 10- to 20-year warranty, with certain exceptions.
Since our products are custom-ordered and unique to each customer, there is no right of withdrawal once the deposit has been paid.
We’re happy to assist you with ordering a countertop. In the Gothenburg area, we primarily work with Kungälvs Natursten. In addition to a wide variety of natural stone, our selection also includes Dekton, Silestone, and Technistone.
Custom-built walk-in closet: approximately 3–8 days.
